Zac Brown Rocks Out with the Foo Fighters on Letterman

Zac Brown guested with his buddies the Foo Fighters on The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday night (Oct. 13th) for the first of the Foos’ weeklong string of appearances on the show. Together they cranked out not an original song but a succinct, searing version of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” with Brown alternating lead vocals and guitar riffs with Dave Grohl. The Zac Brown Band, whose latest release was their four-track EP recorded with Grohl (The Dave Grohl Sessions Vol. 1), are also prepping a “best of” compilation for the upcoming holiday shopping season. Set for release on Nov. 10th, Greatest Hits So Far… will compile 14 of the Atlanta-based superstar act’s biggest smashes, including all 11 of their #1 Country singles, from 2008’s “Chicken Fried” through last year’s “Sweet Annie.”

Zac and the gang just wrapped up headlining their fourth annual Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Charleston, South Carolina’s Blackbaud Stadium Oct. 11th and 12th. The event also featured acts such as Gov’t Mule, Rodrigo y Gabriela, the Wailers and Blues Traveler along with an array of Southern gourmet food and drinks.
