Yacht Rock Revue Bringing in One-Hit “Stars” for Soft-Rock Revival

Popular AM Gold tribute act Yacht Rock Revue have announced their fifth annual Yacht Rock Revival, an all-star celebration of the one-hit wonders of ‘70s and ‘80s pop radio.

This year’s festival will take place on Sat., Aug. 22  in Piedmont Park beginning at 7 p.m. As in past years, the Atlanta combo will be joined by many of their soft-rock heroes, including Walter Egan (“Magnet and Steel”), Peter Beckett and Ronn Moss of Player (“Baby Come Back”), Elliot Lurie of Looking Glass (“Brandy, You’re a Fine Girl”), Jeff Carlisi of 38 Special (“Hold On Loosely”), Robbie Dupree (“Steal Away”), Matthew Wilder (“Break My Stride”) and onetime Journey vocalist Steve Augeri.

“The revival in Atlanta is the show I look forward to all year. The audience is pumped and I am at home with the YRR and in ATL,” says Dupree. “I come back every year because I lost my mood ring in Atlanta in 1981 and I hope to find it someday.”
