The annual Tunes from the Tombs music festival will return to Atlanta’s Oakland Cemetery for the fifth year on Saturday, June 13th.
Matthew Sweet, an artist with longstanding connections to the Georgia music scene, will headline the event, with a plethora of Atlanta-based acts filling out the day’s roster, including Michelle Malone, Little Tybee, Eliot Bronson, Blood on the Harp, the Atlanta Sacred Harp Singers and more.
General admission tickets for the festival, which runs from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., are $15 advance and $20 at the gates, with special R.I.P. packages (“Rock in Peace”) available for $100, which includes access to private restrooms, two drink tickets, a commemorative T-shirt and poster and more. All proceeds the Historic Oakland Foundation’s preservation efforts for the cemetery, Atlanta’s oldest.
