“Soul on Fire,” the latest single by Third Day, has spent the last two months in the top ten of Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart. The song originated with South African worship leader and songwriter Brenton Brown, who graciously permitted the Georgia-based Christian band to change the arrangement and add a verse.
“Soul on Fire,” which features All Sons & Daughters, is one of the 23 tracks on Lead Us Back: Songs of Worship, released on the Essential label back in March. The album, Third Day’s 12th studio effort, celebrates 20+ years since the release of the group’s gold-certified, self-titled debut album. Since then, Third Day, which Billboard has called “one of the best rock bands, period” – has generated 30 #1 singles, sold more than 8.5 million albums, earned 24 GMA Dove Awards, four GRAMMY®s and an American Music Award and been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
