T. Hardy Morris highlights Places in Peril

“Audition Tapes,” the new solo release by Dead Confederate frontman T. Hardy Morris, unexpectedly brings attention to Places in Peril, the list created by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation each year. Historically significant structures make the cut when they are in particular need of awareness and repair. Morris and his fellow Athenian, photographer Jason Thrasher, traveled to ten of the Places in Peril statewide to film acoustic versions of songs from “Audition Tapes.” Sites included Howard Finster’s Paradise Garden in Summerville; Chattahoochee Park Pavilion in Gainesville; the Ritz Theatre in Thomaston; Central State Hospital in Milledgeville and the Rock House in Thomson. A spot for the title track was filmed at historic Capricorn Recording Studio building in Macon.
