Outkast’s Atlanta-based Stankonia Recording Studio is one of a dozen renowned studios worldwide that is partnering with Converse, Inc. to offer free studio sessions to a specially chosen selection of artists.
Three Georgia-based acts are among the seven that will be in session at Stankonia between Sept. 14th and 28th: Gemini, 6LACK and Grand Prize Winners from Last Year. The rest are a far-flung bunch from around the globe: Los Angeles-based A.J. Crew, Santiago’s Planta Carnivora, London’s A2 and Shanghai-based ChaCha.
A total of 84 artists from 28 different countries are participating in the program. Among the other studios are such legendary facilities as Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, Abbey Road in London and Tuff Gong in Kingston, Jamaica.
