Partially filmed in Atlanta, Furious 7, the forthcoming seventh entry in the Fast & Furious car movie franchise, not only features Chris “Ludacris” Bridges in a starring role alongside Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and the late Paul Walker, but the rap- and reggaeton-heavy soundtrack includes several Atlanta rappers.
Rich Homie Quan (pictured) mixes it up with DC’s Wale and California’s Kid Ink, Tyga and YG on the album’s opening cut, “Ride Out.” “Off-set” follows, a collaboration between Atlantans T.I. and Young Thug. Future is featured on the track “Payback” along with Memphis’ Juicy J, Baton Rouge rapper Kevin Gates and California’s Sage the Gemini. Lil’ Jon’s inescapable hit with DJ Snake, “Turn Down for What,” reappears here, while Famous to Most’s touchdown dance anthem “Whip” shows up as a bonus track to close the soundtrack album.
Atlantic Records is releasing the Furious 7 soundtrack on March 17th, ahead of the movie’s April 3rd debut on movie screens.
