Songs for Kids Foundation Starts Food & Music Festival

The Songs for Kids Foundation, which stages the annual 10-day 500 Songs for Kids multi-act countdown marathon at various Atlanta venues, is starting a new food and music festival this spring.

Scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, March 29th at Atlanta’s Monday Night Brewing, the new shindig will feature live music from Atlanta favorites Yacht Rock Revue, performances from SFK participating artists and kids in their programs, plus food and drink tastings from some of the best and brightest in Atlanta’s bustling restaurant industry, including chefs Ford Fry, Shaun Doty, Ron Eyester (Rosebud), Brian Horn (JCT Kitchen) and many others.

All proceeds, of course, will benefit the Songs for Kids Foundation, started by Atlanta musician Josh Rifkind in 2007 to bring musicians to children’s hospitals and special needs camps to entertain and work with ailing and disabled children.
