Shorter University Junior to Compete in Classical Competition

Katelyn Johnson, a junior at Shorter University in Rome, is advancing to the second round of the national collegiate Classical Singer Competition after scoring the highest in first-round regional auditions held at Shorter on Feb. 21st, where she competed against other students from Georgia and other states.

The final rounds of the competition, during which Johnson – a vocal performance major at Shorter – will show off her pipes alongside the collegiate finalists from other regional auditions, will be held May 21st through 24th during the Classical Singer Convention in Chicago.
