The organizers of the annual Savannah Stopover music festival announced on January 17th an additional 40 acts that will be playing this year’s event.
Breakout Canadian country star Colter Wall (pictured), Bronx hip-hop artist Kemba, Yonatan Gat (named Best Guitarist in New York by Village Voice), Colin Caufield of DIIV and Seattle’s The Cave Singers are among the standouts.
Three label showcases were also announced. New West Records will present Nikki Lane, Lilly Hiatt, Caroline Rose and Cicada Rhythm for the label’s 20th anniversary celebration on Friday, March 9th at Ships of the Sea. New West’s Athens-based imprint Normaltown Records will present White Violet, DEGA, Wild Moccasins, The Nude Party and David Barbe & Inward Dream Ebb on Saturday, March 10th. And that same evening, Brooklyn-based Sleep Well Records will host a showcase with Pronoun, Cape Francis and Charles Fauna.
