Savannah Music Festival Announces Initial List of 2016 Performers

The Savannah Music Festival has announced its initial 2016 lineup, and as usual it’s a terrifically eclectic mix of styles from jazz, classical and ethnic music to folk, bluegrass, gospel and blues.

Among the announced performers are honky-tonker Dwight Yoakam (pictured); zydeco act Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys; The North Mississippi Allstars; blues harmonica great Charlie Musselwhite; jazz vocalist/pianist Freddy Cole with Rene Marie; Ry Cooder with Ricky Skaggs and Sharon White; the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra; Rhiannon Giddons; the Danish String Quartet; Irish group The Gloaming; Trinidad’s Etienne Charles and his group Creole Soul; bluegrass greats Del McCoury and David Grisman; the Wycliffe Gordon Quintet; Langhorne Slim and many more.
