The lineup for the 2018 Savannah Music Festival has been announced, including an all-day finale on three stages at Trustees Garden on April 14th.
The steadfastly diverse festival will showcase musical genres as far-ranging as R&B (Lee Fields & the Expressions, the James Hunter Six), bluegrass (Rhonda Vincent, Claire Lynch), jazz (Bill Frisell, Lonnie Smith), country (Rosanne Cash, John Moreland, Marty Stuart), flamenco (Diego El Cigala) and classical (Zurich Chamber Orchestra, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra) just for starters. As always, the lineup will be a global affair, with acts from Portugal, Mali, South Africa, Cuba, Ireland, Argentina and Trinidad among those participating.
The big finale – a new addition to this 29th edition of the festival – will run from noon until 11 p.m. on Saturday, April 14th, and will feature an Americana-leaning lineup that includes Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, the Tedeschi Trucks Band (pictured), Gillian Welch, Marc Broussard, Brent Cobb, Mipso and others.
The SMF will take place at numerous venues throughout Savannah from March 29th through April 14th. For ticket info, the full lineup and more, go to savannahmusicfestival.org.
