Run the Jewels’ IPA is Now in Georgia Through Creature Comforts

Run the Jewels have joined the ranks of other musical artists that have tapped into the craft beer movement and released their own brew. The rap duo – which includes Atlantan Killer Mike – has collaborated with New York-based Interboro Spirits and Ales for Stay G-O-L-D, a fruity India Pale Ale named after a track from their third album.

The 6% alcohol beer, packaged in 16-ounce tallboy cans, was introduced in New York earlier this year. Because of alcohol distribution laws, Interboro has been partnering with various regional craft brewers around the country to make their own version of the beer. Thanks to Creature Comforts Brewing Co., Georgians can now enjoy Stay G-O-L-D – if they’re up for visiting the Athens-based brewery, that is. Stay G-O-L-D is available for consumption onsite, and for carryout purchase, during public hours at the facility at 271 W. Hancock Avenue.

It’s actually not the first time Run the Jewels have boasted a beer in their honor. In 2013 the Chicago-based Goose Island brewery made a limited edition Run the Jewels Belgian wheat beer for sale at that year’s Pitchfork Music Festival.
