Royal Thunder to Wrap Up US Tour for Crooked Doors in Atlanta

Royal Thunder will headline Atlanta music venue The EARL on Friday, July 3rd, their first hometown show since the April 7th release of their acclaimed second album Crooked Doors.

Crooked Doors, also their second album for Pennsylvania-based hard rock label Relapse Records, is an intense and personal 11-song affair marked by bass guitarist/lyricist Mlny Parsonz’ powerful, piercing vocals (yes, that’s her preferred manner of spelling her name) and Josh Weaver’s blistering guitar work. Yet one of the highlights of the album is the stirring closing song, “The Bear II,” where Parsonz, on piano and vocals, is only accompanied by a cellist.

Royal Thunder recently added Will Fiore of Atlanta sludge metal band Zoroaster on second guitar. Their current tour, for which the EARL show is the final date, included a brief string of Texas and Florida dates opening for Wilco in late April.
