Rising Atlanta rapper Derez De’Shon has signed a deal with urban music collective Commission Music. The label recently released De’Shon’s hit track “Hardaway,” currently at number 32 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. De’Shon’s mixtape Pain will be re-released with several new tracks this February.
De’Shon grew up in Clayton County on the south side of Atlanta, and was influence by rap legends such as Tupac, DMX and Biggie Smalls. His songs and deep, raspy voice have received praise from artists like Gucci Mane, Metro Boomin and Waka Flocka Flame. Commission Music founder Anthony Martini notes that “Derez’s cred in the streets is undeniable and he wanted a partner who could amplify his vision. Artists like him are important to rap and we’re passionate about bringing his vital music to the world.”
