Quality Control Music Releases First in Series of Compilations

Atlanta-based rap label Quality Control Music (recently profiled in a New York Times feature) has released the first of a compilation series spotlighting new and exclusive tracks by its artists.

Control the Streets Vol. 1 is dominated by the label’s biggest breakout act, Migos, who appear either as a group or individual members on well over half of the album’s 30 cuts. Lil Yachty is also heavily represented, but the most notable aspect of the comp is the presence of many newer artists from the Quality Control roster, including up-and-coming Atlanta rappers Lil Baby, Marlo and YRN Lingo. Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla $ign, Travis Scott and Atlanta’s Gucci Mane make guest appearances on selected tracks.

As the name implies, more Control the Streets compilations are expected as the label expands its success and dominance.
