A Dutch label called Tender Records is releasing an 11-track album of previously unreleased Drivin’ N Cryin’ rarities on November 4th, with an American release to follow in December via Plowboy Records, the Nashville-based indie label headed by onetime Dead Boys member Cheetah Chrome.
Archives Vol. 1: 1988-90 is a collection of demos, practice sessions, home recordings and live tracks, including songs that later appeared in different form on Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ albums and Kevn Kinney solo albums as well as many that have never been officially released.
The band will embark on a four-date tour of the Netherlands beginning Oct. 27th, and will play a hometown show at Atlanta’s Center Stage Theatre on Dec. 30th. Dan Baird (ex-Georgia Satellites) will open that particular show with his group Homemade Sin.
