The 30th annual Piney Woods Lake Bluegrass Festival will liven up the otherwise quiet woodlands near tiny Glenwood, southeast of Macon in central Georgia, the weekend of March 31st through April 2nd.
The family-friendly event will feature hotshot pickin’ and singin’ from the likes of Georgia’s own Bullsboro, Recycled Grass and Georgia Bound (pictured), Florida’s Hwy 41 South and more. Thursday’s early arrivers can participate in an open stage, as well as enjoy sets from the Heart of Dixie Bluegrass Band and the Parking Lot Pickers beginning at 6 p.m., while Friday and Saturday will feature full sets from multiple acts starting at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets range from $8 for Thursday only (or Saturday after 6 p.m.) to $30 for a full three-day pass. Children under 12 are free. Camping is available, with on-site electricity and water hookups for campers. Pets are allowed in the camping area only, on leash at all times. No alcohol permitted in the concert area.
