Passion Movement Founders Honored by Gospel Music Association

Atlanta-based husband-and-wife Louie and Shelley Giglio will be recognized for their work as founders of the “Passion Movement” Christian organization and their accompanying sixstepsrecords Christian music label at this year’s Gospel Music Association Honors ceremony.

Louie Giglio is the pastor of Atlanta’s Passion City Church. He has authored several books, and in 1995 he and Shelley began the Passion Movement, which holds Christian conferences around the world geared toward young adults. The record label was started in 2000, and releases albums from a core group of Christian artists including Atlanta’s Kristian Stanfill, as well as live albums from the Passion Movement conferences.

The GMA Honors, which will also spotlight this year’s Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees Twila Paris, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Mark Lowry and industry executive Roland Lundy, are scheduled for Tuesday, May 5th at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
