Organized Noize Doc Gets Atlanta Screening Prior to Netflix Debut

The Art of Organized Noize, a new documentary on the Atlanta-based production team Organized Noize (Rico Wade, Ray Murray and Sleepy Brown), will be shown at a private, invitation-only screening at SCADshow in Atlanta on Friday, March 18th before being released on Netflix on March 22nd.

Directed by Quincy Jones III, the film traces the rise of the pioneers of the Dirty South hip-hop/R&B sound, the behind-the-scenes force behind some of the biggest hits of the era from Outkast, Goodie Mob, TLC, Ludacris and EnVogue. The Art of Organized Noize features appearances from L.A. Reid, Big Boi, Andre 3000, Sean “Puffy” Combs, CeeLo Green, Big Gipp, Future and 2 Chainz, among others.

Still active and recently working with Big Boi, J. Cole, Dom Kennedy and Future, Organized Noize’s ongoing success is summed up succinctly by their beatmaster, Ray Murray: “Because we have three minds working together, we are able to be outside of where one person can be creatively most of the time, which in turn allows us to appeal to more people.”
