The independent, locally produced horror film Bleed not only featured several Atlanta musicians in minor roles (Bryan Malone, Shannon Mulvaney) but also a large dollop of hometown music makers on the soundtrack.
Austin, Texas’ Chicken Ranch Records recently issued a 7-inch vinyl single (pressed in a design to resemble blood splatter, no less) featuring four selections featured in the film. Side one features two songs from guitarist Fran Capitanelli, formerly of the band The Tom Collins, while a pair of tracks from Atlanta garage-rockers Tiger! Tiger! occupy the flip side. Adam Renshaw, onetime drummer for Atlanta band The Forty Fives, was the music supervisor for the film.
