Masquerade Makes Long-Term Commitment to Underground

After a little less than a year after a hasty move to a “temporary” location at Underground Atlanta after their intended warehouse home in West Midtown fell through, the folks behind veteran Atlanta music venue The Masquerade have announced that they’re staying put in Underground.

The venue has entered into a binding deal with new Underground Atlanta developers WRS, Inc., to make its trio of spots in Kenny’s Alley (Heaven, Hell and Purgatory) its long-term home. Club owners cited increased attendance, support from concertgoers, ease of parking, access to public transportation and presence of on-site security among the reasons for their decision.

The Masquerade’s original Atlanta home on North Avenue is currently being developed into a mixed-use project, North and Line.
