Manchester Orchestra Covers Nada Surf for Charity Album

Manchester Orchestra contribute the lead track on a forthcoming all-star charity project: a multi-artist, song-by-song cover of a 2002 album by New York City band Nada Surf.

The Atlanta-based group performs a version of “Blizzard of ’77,” which was also the opening song on Nada Surf’s original album, the band’s third. Other artists contributing to Standing at the Gates: The Songs of Nada Surf’s Let Go include Ron Gallo, Rogue Wave, Ed Harcourt, Aimee Mann, Adia Victoria and Victoria Bergsman of The Concretes.

Proceeds from the sale of Standing at the Gates – to be released digitally Feb. 2nd and on CD March 2nd – will go to the ACLU and the Pablove Foundation.
