Lecrae Earns First Gold Record With 2014’s Anomaly

Anomaly, the seventh studio album from Atlanta-based rapper and singer Lecrae, has officially been certified Gold by the RIAA, denoting combined sales and streaming of 500,000 units. It’s his first gold-selling album.

Upon its release in 2014, Anomaly made history as the first album by any artist to top both the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart and Billboard’s Gospel Album’s chart. He was also only the fifth artist to score a number one album on both the Billboard 200 and the Christian Album charts. Lecrae is one of the few independent rappers to have a gold album. Anomaly was released on his own Reach Records label.

Currently working on material for Anomaly’s highly anticipated follow-up, Lecrea will embark on an 18-date fall tour beginning Oct. 25th in Columbia, South Carolina.
