Leah Calvert Branches Out With Solo Debut, Satellite

Leah Calvert has logged many years as fiddle player and vocalist for Atlanta bluegrass band the Dappled Grays, and is also a member of the John Driskell Hopkins Band. On her debut solo album, she branches out significantly as a compelling singer-songwriter while still maintaining a strong core of American roots music.

Satellite presents a stylistically diverse range of original songs, as well as a stripped-down folksong interpretation of Tom Waits’ “Day After Tomorrow,” a track from his 2004 album Real Gone.
