Larkin Poe, the Atlanta-based roots-rock duo consisting of sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell, will tour Norway, Sweden and Germany as both opening act and backing band for Elvis Costello in advance of their forthcoming full-length debut album, Kin.
Costello, one of Larkin Poe’s most vocal boosters, has performed with the sisters before, including shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Centre (where this photo was taken). “They have a head start on the rest of us with their unique singing power and beauty of sibling harmony,” opines Costello. The European dates begin Oct. 1st in Bergen, Norway, and continue through Oct. 13th. US dates will follow, including a hometown release show at Atlanta’s Terminal West on Oct. 24th and an appearance with Dawes on NBC’s Today show Oct. 27th as they back up fellow Georgian Kristian Bush of Sugarland.
Already out to acclaim in the UK, Kin will be released in the U.S. on Oct. 21st via Restoration Hardware’s newly launched music label, RH Music.
