Larkin Poe Release Blues-Based Third Album, Peach

Georgia sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell, better known as Larkin Poe, have released their third album, Peach.

Peach is comprised of five original blues-rock songs written by Megan and Rebecca, and five covers of traditional blues songs by the likes of Son House (“Preachin’ Blues”), Robert Johnson (“Come On In My Kitchen”), Leadbelly (“Black Betty”) and Blind Willie Johnson (“John the Revelator”).

In recent months, Larkin Poe have been the opening act for Bob Seger, and have previously opened tours and backed up acts such as Conor Oberst, Kristian Bush and uber-fan Elvis Costello, who raves that “they have a head start on the rest of us with the unique power and beauty of sibling harmony.” Earlier this year, Rebecca and Megan were asked by T-Bone Burnett to be part of the backing band for the MusiCares 2017 “Person of the Year” event honoring Tom Petty.

Larkin Poe will play at Atlanta’s Terminal West on December 21st.
