This year marks the 20th anniversary of John Berry’s first Christmas tour, which has since become an annual event, and to celebrate the Atlanta-raised country singer is releasing a new holiday album (simply titled Christmas) and embarking on another tour.
Christmas is a 10-song album of original holiday songs as well as a few Christmas classics, including a remake of “O’ Holy Night,” the traditional carol song that’s been a staple of his holiday tours since recording it in 1996. The new album is a family affair, co-produced by his wife of 28 years, Robin Berry, and featuring their son Caelin Berry on drums.
Berry’s Christmas tour of the Southeast and Midwest begins at the Marietta Performing Arts Center in Marietta, Georgia on Friday, November 18th (the album’s official release date) and concludes Dec. 21st in Dothan, Alabama. Other Georgia stops on the tour include Calhoun’s GEM Theatre on Nov. 19th, Gainesville’s Cervantes Theatre for the Arts on Dec. 15th, Macon’s Grand Opera House on Dec. 16th, Bremen’s Mill Town Music Hall on Dec. 17th, Augusta’s Imperial Theatre on Dec. 18th, Watkinsville’s Oconee County Civic Center on Dec. 19th and Tifton’s Historic Tift Theatre on Dec. 20th.
