Jermaine Dupri is going to work with five aspiring young rappers ranging in age from 12 to 16 on a forthcoming unscripted series for Lifetime called The Rap Game.
The young hopefuls, which include two from Atlanta (12-year-old Supa Peach and 16-year-old Miss Mulatto), will be in competition to win a record contract with Dupri’s label, So So Def Recordings. Guest stars, primarily hailing from the thriving Atlanta hip hop industry (namely Ludacris, T.I., Usher and Silento), will appear regularly on the eight-episode series, which is co-produced by Dupri and rapper/actress Queen Latifah.
The Rap Game will premiere Friday, January 1st at 10 p.m. ET.
