Jason Aldean’s seventh studio album, They Don’t Know, will be released on September 9th, and the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year looks to have another monster smash album on his hands, if the response to its lead single – the uptempo, rock-flavored romp “Lights Come On” – is any indication. The track topped Billboard’s Country Airplay chart the week of July 11th – his 17th country radio number one.
Aldean has just released a second track from They Don’t Know, the decidedly more wistful “A Little More Summertime.” Fans who pre-order the upcoming album will receive an instant download of the new single.
Aldean is sticking with his familiar professional family on They Don’t Know, working with longtime producer Michael Knox and the same band he’s had – both onstage and in the studio – for the past decade. Georgia-born songwriters Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, Travis Denning, Tyler Hubbard and Jordan Rager all have songwriting credits on the album. Aldean and band continue to traverse the country on his “Six String Circus” Tour, including two nights with Kid Rock at Boston’s Fenway Park coinciding with the new album’s release.
