Jameson Peach Jam Features Georgians at The George

Georgia songwriters to perform on March 21

“Jameson Peach Jam,” a celebration of Georgia’s hitmakers, debuts at The George Jones Rooftop Bar in Nashville on Tuesday, March 21. Songwriters Pat Alger, Tony Arata, Trea Landon, Jon Langston and Cole Taylor take the stage with specials guests expected to join in. Tickets, available here, are $10 while they last and proceeds benefit the Georgia Music Foundation.

The “Jameson Peach Jam” is the official kick-off for the “Fourth Annual Jameson Irish Whiskey Presents Georgia On My Mind” benefit concert hosted by the Peach Pickers and friends at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on May 16, 2017. “Adding a second night of Georgia-bred music in Nashville was a direct result of the popularity and success of ‘Georgia On My Mind,’” said Dallas Davidson, a member of the Peach Pickers and chair of the Georgia Music Foundation. “There’s so much homegrown talent in Georgia that our Ryman show could go all night, but instead we are partnering with our friends at Jameson to create a second event spotlighting Peach State songwriters and one of Jameson’s emerging artists.”

Pat Alger and Tony Arata have certainly made their marks on Nashville since arriving from Georgia three decades ago. Among Alger’s many chart-toppers are Garth Brooks’ “Unanswered Prayers” and “The Thunder Rolls,” while Arata penned Brooks’ smash hit “The Dance,” “Here I Am” for Patty Loveless and many more. Joining the two Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famers are Georgia natives Jon Langston, whose songs like “Forever Girl” and “She’s So Georgia” have helped spark his wildfire fan base; Trea Landon, who was one of the first artists signed to Dallas Davidson’s Play It Again Publishing; and Cole Taylor, who had two No. 1 hits last year with Luke Bryan’s “Home Alone Tonight” and Florida Georgia Line’s “Sippin’ on Fire.”
