An interactive historical marker honoring Otis Redding will soon be unveiled in the tiny central Georgia town of Gray just north of Macon and a few miles away from where he established his 300 acre Big O Ranch for his family.
The seven-foot-by-seven-foot marker is designed to resemble an album cover, and will feature personal photos of the singer as well as an audio player for Redding’s music.
The marker is being erected at the corner of Madison Street and Dolly Street in downtown Gray. An official unveiling ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18th. The public is invited.
