Hank Sullivant to Rejoin The Whigs for Special Show at the 40 Watt

Hank Sullivant has not been lacking for activities since leaving The Whigs in 2006, touring as a guitarist with New York band MGMT, producing bands such as Gift Horse and Colour Revolt and starting his own musical project, Kuroma.

But the Whigs and Sullivant, their original bassist and co-founder, remain good friends, and on Friday, Nov. 6th he’ll rejoin his fellow original Whigs – Parker Gispert and Julian Dorio – for only the second time since leaving the group, for a special show at the 40 Watt in their Athens hometown, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the band’s debut album, Give ‘Em All a Big Fat Lip.

The Whigs, currently signed to New West Records, have released four albums since the departure of Sullivant following that debut, including their latest, Modern Creation. Meanwhile, Kuroma’s latest album, Kuromarama, was released in April.
