Georgians’ Song “Wine Into Water” Recorded by Loretta Lynn

Country singer T. Graham Brown and Georgia songwriter Bruce Burch’s 1995 song “Wine Into Water,” co-written with songwriter/producer Ted Hewitt, has been recorded by country music legend Loretta Lynn and included on her first album since 2004, Full Circle, which was released on March 4th.

“Wine Into Water” was first recorded by Atlanta native Brown in 1998 when he was struggling with his own drinking problem. Lynn has said that she wished she could have sung the song to her late husband, Oliver “Doolittle” Lynn, who struggled with alcoholism.

Burch, currently serving as an Executive in Residence at Brenau University in Gainesville, has had his songs recorded by numerous country stars, including Faith Hill, the Oak Ridge Boys, Billy Joe Royal and two number ones – “It’s Your Call” and “Rumor Has It” – by Reba McEntire.
