The nominations for this year’s Country Music Television Music Awards – focusing on achievement and popularity in music videos – have been announced, and as could be expected given the state’s current domination of the genre, Georgia is heavily represented, with our artists competing against one another in most categories.

Florida Georgia Line (“Dirt”), Lady Antebellum (“Bartender”), Luke Bryan (“Play It Again”), Jason Aldean (“Burnin’ It Down”) and Sam Hunt (“Leave the Night On”) are all in the crowded running for the Video of the Year, against vids by Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Maddie and Tae, Kenny Chesney, Lee Brice and Darius Rucker.

Bryan and Aldean are both up for Male Video of the Year for those same songs, while the clip for Hunt’s song is nominated for Breakthrough Video of the Year. Florida Georgia Line have two videos in the running for Duo Video of the Year: “Dirt” and “Sun Daze,” while Lady A’s “Bartender” vid is competing against the Zac Brown Band’s “All Alright,” among others, for Group Video of the Year. Jefferson’s Brantley Gilbert is nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year for his clip for “Small Town Throwdown” featuring fellow Georgian Thomas Rhett and Arkansas’ Justin Moore. Jennifer Nettles is nominated in the same category for her song featuring Brandy Clark, “His Hands.”

The CMT Music Awards also give a CMT Performance of the Year award to a group or artist singled out for an exceptional live performance on a CMT program. Lady Antebellum are nominated twice in this category for performances of “Drink a Beer” and “Wake Me Up,” while Jason Aldean is nominated for his duet with Bob Seger on the latter’s “Turn the Page.”

The CMT Music Awards will air live June 10th from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The awards are determined by fans, who can vote online at CMT.com through June 8th.
