Georgia Artists Take Home American Music Awards

Georgia’s current crop of country artists continues to load up the ol’ display shelves with awards. At the American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 23rd, Florida Georgia Line took home the trophy for Favorite Country Band/Duo/Group, while Luke Bryan won for Favorite Male Country Artist. Meanwhile, Georgia-based contemporary Christian band Casting Crowns (pictured) snagged the AMA for Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist.

Created by Dick Clark in 1973 as an alternative to the Grammys, the American Music Awards are voted on by the public as opposed to a committee.
