Future Debuts at Number One with Third Album, DS2

Atlanta rapper Future’s third full-length album, DS2, debuted atop the Billboard 200 album sales chart in its first week of release.

While the album was announced only one week prior to release, it was heavily promoted with a five-part documentary called Like I Never Left, a cover story in RESPECT magazine, interviews with Huffington Post and various key radio stations and a handful of free concerts, including at Atlanta’s Masquerade club.

“I am so proud of Future and this incredible #1 debut,” said Epic Records’ Chairman and CEO, L.A. Reid. “Future is one of the most visionary artists I’ve ever worked with and his inspired imagination and true fan engagement made this the year’s much-publicized and preeminent hip-hop debut.”
