Florida Georgia Line have their first number one album on Billboard magazine’s top 200 albums chart with their second album, Anything Goes. Their sophomore platter sold nearly 200,000 copies in its first week in stores. Demonstrating the state’s country musicians’ impact on the current music scene, the album Anything Goes replaced at number one was also from a Georgia country music artist: Jason Aldean’s Old Boots, New Dirt.
So far, five songs from Anything Goes have cracked the top 40 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart; their song “Dirt” rose to number one.
The duo played the kickoff tailgate party for the Florida-Georgia college football game (appropriately enough) last Friday night.
