Featuring Panic’s JoJo Herman, Slim Wednesday Releases Debut LP

Focusing on the sound of New Orleans that was pioneered by the likes of Professor Longhair, Dr. John, Allen Toussaint and The Funky Meters, Slim Wednesday features members of The Dynamites (former backing group for soul man Charles Walker) as well as keyboardist JoJo Hermann from Widespread Panic.

Slim Wednesday’s debut eight-song album Reptile Show will be released on Gemco Records on Friday, April 6th, followed by a tour of the Southeast which will bring them to Atlanta’s Terminal West on Tuesday, April 10th.

Aside from Hermann, the lineup includes guitarist Bill Elder (aka Leo Black, bandleader for The Dynamites), bassist Greg Bryant (Dara Tucker, The Dynamites), saxophonist Jonathan Jackson (Macy Gray, The Dynamites), saxophonist Jovan Quallo (The Dynamites), trumpeter Ben Clark (Anderson East, The Dynamites), and drummer Kevin Mabin, the only one besides JoJo that wasn’t a Dynamite.
