Hundreds of people, including family members, gathered in Riverdale on Feb. 9th for a public vigil for Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 21-year-old daughter of singers Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston. Their only child, herself an aspiring singer, was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell home on Jan. 31st, and is currently on life support at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Bobby Brown’s brother Tommy Brown and sisters Leolah and Tina Brown hosted the “Shining a Light for Healing” vigil at the Riverdale Town Center amphitheater, while Riverdale Mayor Evelyn Wynn-Dixon was among those praying and singing gospel hymns. R&B singer Tony Terry closed the event by singing the Whitney Houston song “I Look to You.”
Meanwhile, a criminal investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to Bobbi Kristina’s condition.
