The Afropunk Festival is an annual, adventurous, multi-genre music festival that’s earned much critical acclaim, popularity and growth since launching in 2005. Now, to kick off its second decade, the African-American-centered fest is expanding from its New York home to add an Atlanta edition.
The inaugural Afropunk Atlanta will take place on Saturday, Oct. 3rd and Sunday, Oct. 4th in Atlanta’s Central Park (site of the recent Shaky Knees music festival). Among the acts lined up are D’Angelo (pictured), Flying Lotus, Santigold, Death Grips, Public Enemy, Twin Shadow, Benjamin Booker, Curtis Harding and Tyler, the Creator.
Tickets are on sale now. For the full lineup and more information, check afropunkfest.com/atlanta.
