Agon Entertainment, owners of the Georgia Theatre and the recently acquired Variety Playhouse, have teamed with the owners of Atlanta venue Terminal West to open a multi-use facility, including a concert hall, at the soon to be repurposed Atlanta Dairies building on Memorial Drive east of downtown Atlanta.
The space, which will operate as a combination music venue/event facility and will have a rooftop bar with skyline views, is the first business to sign a lease at the 93,000 redeveloped Atlanta Dairies property, which will include retail, restaurant and office space.
“Our goal with Atlanta Dairies is to create an environment where you can live, work, dine, entertain and now catch a live show because of what Agon and Terminal West are going to bring to the project,” said David Cochran, President and CEO of Paces Properties, the building’s owners. “It has been a clear alignment since we first crossed paths. Their reputation of being good operators at the Georgia Theatre and Terminal West respectively, combined with their local proximity and excitement for the project made this a solid signing for all of us at Paces. We are proud to have this team as a featured attraction in the development.”
The as-yet unnamed venue is expected to open sometime in 2017.
