Cartersville’s Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series Returns

The summertime Music By the Tracks events return to downtown Cartersville this month, when Asheville-based roots rock group the Colby Deitz Band performs at Friendship Plaza on Saturday, June 16th from 7 to 9 p.m.

The popular free summer concert series began two years ago, to positive response, progressively drawing larger crowds. The events take place the third Saturday of each month during the summer season. The rest of this year’s schedule consists of Adairsville, Georgia country band Babe’s Bayou (July 21st, pictured), Atlanta-based Allman Brothers cover band Tribute (Aug. 18th) and Atlanta’s 20-piece Big Band Contractors ensemble working up a Natalie Cole tribute show (Sept. 15th).

Food and drinks are available for purchase during each concert, courtesy of Cartersville food truck Julian’s Kitchen, The Local Bar and Grill and Woodstock’s Reformation Brewery.
