Blackberry Smoke Release DVD with The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir

Hard-working Atlanta-based country rockers Blackberry Smoke have released a new live performance DVD filmed at Bob Weir’s TRI studios by director Justin Kreutzmann, filmmaking son of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann.

Blackberry Smoke with Bob Weir: An Evening at TRI offers performances of 17 songs, eight of which feature Weir on guitar and vocals. In addition to Blackberry Smoke originals, the DVD (filmed without an audience) includes covers of songs by The Grateful Dead, The Band, Little Feat, Chuck Berry and more. Also tacked on are behind-the-scenes footage and an interview of the members of Blackberry Smoke by Weir.

On tour in the southeastern United States through the end of February, the boys commence an extensive European jaunt on March 7th, for which they’ll be bringing along fellow Atlanta band Biters as their opening act.
