Biters On Indefinite Hiatus; Tuk Smith Recording Solo Debut

In mid-October, Atlanta rock band Biters announced via their Facebook page that, after nine years, they were going on “indefinite hiatus.” The news was coupled with a post by singer/songwriter/guitarist Tuk Smith teasing his forthcoming debut solo album, which he’s currently recording.

“In the past year I have spent seemingly endless hours writing and working on songs in solitude,” Smith said. “A solo record feels like the next step I should be taking from here. I hope all of the friends I’ve made along this crazy journey will continue on with me as I go down this new road.”

Biters released two full-length albums, four EPs, two compilations and more during their run, and toured incessantly across the US and Europe. “We blazed a HELL of a trail,” said Smith, “and I am proud of what we have done.”
