The Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House and Music Matters Entertainment will host “It’s Up to You & Me, Brother” a benefit concert on Sunday, June 7 for Gregg Brooks, who is battling cancer. Unfortunately, Gregg’s brother and fellow musician, Tim Brooks, died on May 20th of congestive heart failure at age 61, and the event will now also be a memorial to him.

The brothers played and performed with numerous musicians and groups during their decades in the Macon scene including their own Southern rock band, Brothers Brooks. Tim also led Tim Brooks and the Alien Sharecroppers, a popular regional band.

Tickets for the 3:00 p.m. concert are $10; all proceeds will go to Gregg’s medical expenses and Tim’s final expenses. Musicians performing include the Skydog Macon Rhythm Section, Robert Lee Coleman, EG Kight, Eddie Stone, Rob Walker, Danny Ford, LaVerne Smith, Adam Gorman and Chase Royal and his Royal Johnson Band. The Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House is located at 2321 Vineville Avenue in Macon.
