Atlanta-based rock ‘n’ roller Truett Lollis, now simply going by Truett, has released a self-titled EP featuring five of his blaring blues-rock scorchers.
Picking up a guitar at age 12, Truett received early tutelage from fellow Mariettan Ron Pope, who now lives in New York. Pope took the young Lollis on tour across Georgia, where he’d sit in with Pope and his band The District. Pope has continued to actively support Truett’s development, and co-wrote and produced “Be Mine,” the EP’s focus track. And Truett will be opening several shows for Pope this month, included Oct. 18th in Athens at the Georgia Theatre.
