Atlanta’s Subsonics Whip Out Their Flesh Colored 8th Album
Longstanding garage-rock threesome Subsonics will release their eighth album, Flesh Colored Paint, on April 20th via Reno-based indie label Slovenly Records.
The album’s 14 tracks will undoubtedly delight diehard fans of Atlanta band’s sleazy glam/trash approach, which is expanded upon in subtle but effective ways. They’re joined on Flesh Colored Paint by Atlanta’s Sam Leyja on organ, Roxy Verta-Ray on vibes and Ruby Rogers Garcia on rather violent-sounding violin. Roxy’s husband, musician Matt Verta-Ray, co-produced the album with her at their New York City studio.
The Subsonics will play a release show for their new LP at The EARL in East Atlanta Village on Friday, April 27th.
