Atlanta R&B Singer ABRA Nabs First Feature Film Starring Role

Atlanta-based R&B singer ABRA is one of the young stars of Assassination Nation, a feature film thriller being scripted and directed by Sam Levinson.

Suki Waterhouse (Billionaire Boys Club), Odessa Young (The Daughter) and Hari Nef (Amazon’s Transparent) will also star in the story of four suburban teenage girls who become the focus of worldwide media attention when their personal information is leaked by a hacker.

Production on Assassination Nation, described by co-producer David Goyer as “The Crucible for the Snapchat generation,” is expected to begin mid-February in Louisiana. It is the first starring role in a motion picture for ABRA, whose most recent EP Princess, released last July, has received widespread acclaim.
