Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, The Atlanta Pops Orchestra is about to embark on a Southeastern tour performing with Irish singer (and former Celtic Woman member) Chloe Agnew. The concerts will feature Agnew singing Celtic Woman favorites, plus Irish folk songs, hits from Broadway, movie classics and new original music.
“I am thrilled to…celebrate all things Irish with the talented Atlanta Pops Orchestra,” Agnew enthuses, adding that her father plays in the Irish National Concert Orchestra while her mother is a musical theater star. “To merge my family’s musical history with my own love of singing and songwriting…is, of course, very special to me. As classically trained musicians and singers, there is no better feeling than standing in front of an orchestra of this caliber to perform beautiful music.”
“We absolutely love collaborating with Chloe,” adds Atlanta Pops Music Director Jason Altieri. “She has such an eclectic array of repertoire, which makes concerts like these so much fun… Music lovers are in for a real treat.”
The five Southeastern stops will begin Thursday, March 18th at the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton, Georgia, and continue through Sunday, April 23rd with performances in Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama and South Carolina.
